IICF Inclusion in Insurance Global Conference 

The IICF Inclusion in Insurance Global Conference was held June 13-15, 2023 in New York City.  There was a great offering of learning and networking with other insurance professionals, C-Suite executives, DEI leaders, Sustainability officers and other innovators from around the globe for their action-oriented program. This year's focus was on leadership and an inclusive future for the industry. Pictured below is one of the activities for the early birds, Central Park walks/runs before our daily programming kicked off each morning.

The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies Convention

The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies (LAAIA) hosted their 52nd Annual Convention, July 27-30 at Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida. There were hundreds of exhibitors during their trade show, informative educational sessions for those seeking continuing education, and countless networking opportunities. Whitnee Dillard, Big I Executive Director of Invest and Diversity was honored with the Mary B Fernandez Woman of the Year Award!

“The recognition of the Mary B Fernandez Woman of the Year Award is given to individuals that although may or may not be members of the LAAIA exemplify the goals and objectives of the LAAIA and whose contribution to this industry of ours have gone beyond expectation."

NAAIA's  2023 Annual Conference will be held in Columbus, Ohio on October 10-12, 2023.Now in its 26th year, NAAIA’s Annual Conference is the premier event for African Americans in insurance, risk management and adjacent fields to build relationships, network and gain invaluable industry experience. The conference features included: MainStage plenaries with industry keynotes and panel discussions on emerging trends, highly interactive and engaging workshops featuring NAAIA leaders, partners, and relevant experts, specialized spaces and opportunities for attendees to engage together for relationship-building, mentoring, and networking and celebrations of leadership award winners and lifetime achievement award recipient at the Annual Gala.
